Slow to start, and i didn't feel like the game explained all it's elements to me (eg the seaguls - did they offer souls, or are they an obstacle?). However i liked the premise, it gave me a sense of purpose unique from other games of this genre, and the game worked well enough for me to enjoy playing it. I look forward to seeing an improved sequel!
Lots of cool ideas went into here and it felt very fresh but the one problem that stopped the full marks was the lag - nearly all my deaths were lag related. I did everything I could on my laptop - maybe it just sucks but I felt there was no reason for it to be over worked. Ah well good job!
Works just how a TD defense game should and using pokemon as a twist is fantastically refreshing. The system of capturing and leveling pokemon works great and there's a level of strategy involved. I only have a couple of gripes and my own suggestions of fixing them -
Use of Defense/Spec Def Stats - I don't know if you have this already sorted but to me those stats useless in this game. However what if def stats improved the efficiency of passive moves, either through how fast you can use a move like Leer or how much it lowers an enemies defense?
The Story - Although the story isn't amazing, I actually think it works for this game. But it is a bit fanboyish and could benefit from bringing in someone that has a talent for writing scripts. I know you've said you're just a game designer in the face of similar criticisms but getting a writer on your team might make a better story.
Anyway I love playing this game and can't wait for future updates.
This game seems really fun. The animation is good, theres a good range of bad guys and upgrades and it's pretty fun to play. But trying to control the plane without it falling out of the sky is hard, especially when you're trying to stop the incredibly tough bad guys. It may just be I need practice, but I do think the controls need to be accessible in order to get the most of this game.
Little slow to begin with but fun enough to keep you interested. Background is nice but the character itself needs to have more detail. Was enough bonuses and obstacles to do the job but I felt like there could of been more and more variants of the bonuses they were all stars as far as I could see. Would have also have liked to have had more control on the direction of where the character was going I couldn't have him going in a straight line with the accelerator on. I get the surprise was meant to be a joke and keep you playing but it just annoyed me. But the game was good enough to want me to get everything so the pros outweigh the cons.

I actually love this game. There's tonnes of fresh ideas such as new blocks, new idols and the level creator. Including that there is all the levels from the original game for fans of the old TD. It'll take 6 hours to do everything which is pretty amazing for a free flash game but it's still a great game for those school lunch times. It's a brilliant game you idiots, you could at least say why it is a bad game though I can't see why anyone in thier right mind could give this game less than at least 8.
I don't know why people are voting this down it should at the very least be a 4.00 . My only complaint is the powerup system - needs to be made clearer. Other than that great fun, looks good, nice soundtrack and very addicting.
